Tropfest When & Where Tropfest usually occurs for the month of February in Sydney Australia.

This film festival occurs all over Australia during February with the finals in Sydney. In 2011 the final is February 20th in the Botanic Gardens Trust in Sydney.

What to expect It's an outdoor film festival is free ! Not for the filmakers however, they must abide by these rules: first public screening must be at the festival, films must be no longer than seven minutes and they must feature the Trop-fest theme. Previous theme include rock, kiss and bubble. The theme for 2009 is Spring.

What else ? Live music and DJs keep crowds entertained during the day before the screenings begin in the evening. Held at Domain in Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens, this is a fun festival attracting large crowds of picnicers.
