Sydney Festival 2010

When & Where The Sydney Festival occurs in Australia, from the first week in January until February. The festival usually occurs at this time of year.

Legend soul-man Al Green will be performing this year.

History This 3 week performing arts, music & theatre festival was originally held in 1977. It has since grown into one of Australia's largest festivals with the best night being the first night as scheduled since 2008 pulling numbers of 200,000 for a free awesome music & dance show.

Sydney Arts Festival

What to expect More then 80 events with more then 500 artists from Australia & worldwide. Performances include dance, theatre, music, visual arts, cross media, work shops and forums. Sydney Festival events are both ticketed & free, there's a number of quality, free outdoor events like the Domain Concerts which attract up to 100,000 per show.

Venues Performances will be at Sydney Theater, CarriageWorks, City Recital Hall & the spectacular Sydney Opera House.
