Sydney Festival 2010 begins January 9th and finishes January 30th. Legend soul-man Al Green will be performing this year. History This 3 week performing arts, music & theatre festival was originally held in 1977. It has since grown into one of Australia's largest festivals with the best night being the first night as scheduled since 2008 pulling numbers of 200,000 for a free awesome music & dance show. Getting there Australia is well serviced by Sydney International Airport & also by train.
