Find a friendly farmer, put a stage in his field, book some great acts and everyone will come and party – simple right? So in 2007 despite a difficult birth, the first ever Redfest kicked off with The Ordinary Boys topping the bill and support from Newton Faulkner, Laura Marling and an amazing American band The Silversun Pickups, as a one day live music event.
Now, Redfest is a 3-day music festival featuring live performances on ‘The Main Stage’, ‘The Introducing Stage’ and ‘The Acoustic Stage’ with top DJ’s playing till 3am in the two Dance Tents. Staunchly independent and now in its 6th year, Redfest has gained a reputation for championing new emerging bands, solo artists and DJ’s. As well as all the amazing music there’s free secure camping, quality food (Thai, Mexican, Quality Burgers, Indian, Vegetarian & Vegan, Fresh Smoothies, Crepes, Coffee & Doughnuts) a cocktail bus and a massive beer tent.
2012 promises to be our biggest and best weekend yet! Redfest will give you the opportunity to discover some of the best up and coming local and national acts.
