History The first winter Carnival in Québec City was in 1894. In 1954 the theme of Bonhomme (the mascot and only snowman that never melts) was introduced.

What to expect Arctic spas and dog sleigh rides are just some of the entertainment on offer. The Bonhomme Ball at Fairmont Le Château Frontena is an awesome night out as is the closing ceremony. Activities include: snow sculptures, canoe races and dogsled races. The Québec Carnival is the largest winter carnival in the world and is third on the List of Top Carnivals after the Carnaval in Rio and New Orleans.
