Middletown Marketplace at the Train station

by Cissy Gialanella
(Middletown - Lincroft Road, Middletown, NJ 07748)

Middletown Township will offer a weekly open air marketplace at the Middletown Train Station Parking Lot on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning July 11 through December, weather permitting. This open-air market, located on Middletown - Lincroft Road, is planned to feature approximately 100+ exhibitors.

The Middletown Marketplace fits wells with the township’s efforts to encourage residents to BUY MIDDLETOWN and generate new sources of municipal revenue, said Mayor Pamela M. Brightbill. She noted the township would share in the revenue generated by operation of the new shopping opportunity. In addition a marketplace such as this can become a community meeting place for local residents. The market will be managed through a contract with JC Promotions, Inc.

Middletown’s Marketplace is designed to highlight local business and will be organized by several shopping categories including:

Our Local Business Section where Middletown Township businesses can establish a satellite exhibit booth to promote your store or service. This is a great opportunity to promote an upcoming sales campaign, sell excess merchandise, help to build a customer base or meet and greet the community. Local merchants receive a special discounted rate. Local Civic Organization Section is where MT groups can set up an exhibit booth. Each week the Marketplace will donate free space to 4 different groups. It will work on a rotating basis so you must reserve space in advance. This is a great chance to promote your club or cause, hold a member drive, sell tickets to your upcoming event or organize a fundraiser at the Marketplace. With the right fundraising idea your group can generate well-needed funds. Call JC to discuss some fundraising ideas.

The Arts and Crafts Corner featuring handcrafted items and original photography and works of art. Artist and Crafters...this is a
chance to establish your business in an upscale area. Antiques and Collectibles Alley featuring high-end antiques to grandma’s attic finds. This is the perfect place for decorators and designers to find one of a kind pieces!

The Farmers’ Market offering fresh fruits and vegetables, organic and gourmet foods, and plants and flowers. JC is seeking local businesses that specialize in gourmet foods, natural products and other related items. Call us to discuss your products. Come hungry and eat at the Food Court featuring local food specialties and favorites. This is where local restaurants and eateries can establish and promote their businesses, as well as start a snack bar or cafe featuring their own specialties in our food court.
Bargainfest where vendors can sell new items at discounted prices. And, Tag Sale Boulevard dedicated to residents and dealers selling 2nd hand items (space is limited). We hope that you'll consider joining us.

JC Promotions, Inc. is available to help you establish your business or organization at the MT Marketplace. Call JC Promotions at 201-998-6311 from Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or visit www.jcpromotions.info for information on how to participate. Please note that food vendors must be registered with the Middletown Health Department to participate. No home cooked foods are allowed.
