LT-FEST vol. 2 –August 6, 2011, Exhibition Area of Zahrada Cech, Litomerice

Music festival

The first weekend of August proceeds with a spirit of extreme music and outskirts of the town called Litomerice, again, is flooded with metal wave. It takes place annual volume two of one-day show called Lt-fest. This time, the scene appears mostly Czech bands, which are dominated by bands abroad.

Saving Joshua, the band from Sweden, shows a combination of post-hardcore, metal and R&B. They formed during the winter of December 2007/January 2008. The band has gigged a lot around their native Sweden and played in most European countries.

This year, the Czech Republic presents them already for the second time.
Among the main bands is also one interesting project from Denmark, formed in 2001.
The Psyke Project plays a very harsh and dark kind of hardcore with influences ranging from Converge, Neurosis and Norma Jean. In November the band will record their 4th album.
Posthardcore Rise Above Dead comes from Italy and plays their first official EP recorded last year. Their new songs represent them typical darkened blend of post hardcore, crust and sludge metal. Heavy guitars and haunting vocals make the record sound like an electric funeral pyre. The music is complimented by the visual darkness captured on a superlative artwork.

5-piece act Placenta comes from Berlin and plays melodic death metal. They began as a punk band and since they’ve recorded two albums and one EP and already played countless shows all over Germany.

As other formation plays Eskimo Callboy .They don’t have anything with Arctic peoples in the Arctic region, but comes from Germany as well. This interesting band formed until last year. Catchy tunes, brutal breakdowns, a fine dose of electro and last but not least cheeky lyrics are pricing the young band.

And as the last foreign band presents Planey. We could already see them in our country within the frame of minitour with the Martyr Defiled band.
And Shogun Tokugawa, Smashed Face or Beautiful Cafillery is ranked among more famous bands from different parts of our country.

There also plays posthardcore Attic Vanity or Drom, interesting black/emo/hardcore. The Blackstone Chronicles and posthardcore Marina come from Prague. And among the local bands is ranked Anarchuz, Keep On Rotting, Ignorance, Clam De, Anime Torment or Patapon, youngest band, which takes pride in age of about 9.

Venue: Exhibition Area of Zahrada Cech, Litomerice
The bands share one stage, an open air pavilion with a roof over it and capacity of about 1000 people.

Not only music but also bike exhibition, fireshow, workshops or merchendise is there. There is also available table soccer, inflatable spring board or newly talks etc.
Regarding food, it’s vegetarian/vegan from eco-farms of surrounding areas.
