Below is a book of condolences to the families of the departed. Please leave a message below. You can also sign your name & add your country. We will do our best to deliver a printed copy of your condolences to the families of the 21 people from 7 different countries who died as a result of Loveparade Duisburg 24th July 2010.

I have never been to the Love Parade but it was on my list of things to do in life.

Sat night I was out dancing away in Sydney to James Holden and Sunday morning I awoke to the sickening news.....My heart goes out to all those people who witnessed such tragedy and to all the families and friends of the injured and departed. I am thinking of you.....xxx

I wish to send my deepest sympathies to the families of all those who died in this terrible tragedy. May you find peace and comfort during this very difficult time. My heart goes out to all of you. You are all in my prayers along with those who have perished.

And may all those that were injured find the strength to recover quickly from all that they have been through. I have you all in my prayers and wish you all well.

Loss is painful, no matter who you lost...

I lost my friend in this years Love Parade and it isn't fair what happened - all we wanted was to party... My condolences go out to everyone who's lost someone, and knows what I am going through... That day ended in tragedy even though it shouldn't have. May the victims rest in peace, may the wounded be healed and may the missing be found.

Hey guys heard about this book on a forum.

Great idea, the families must be devastated and showing them some thought and support should make them feel better.

The parade was the single biggest music catastrophe ever and if you hated or loved the love parade I think every music fan in the world needs to sign this so that event organisers take more and that money is not put ahead of people.

These sad news deeply touched my soul as I myself love electronic music and electronic music festivals. I would like to extend my most sincere condolences to all the family and friends of the 20 who passed away. Best wishes to all the other people recovering both physically and mentally from such a sour incident. The electronic music comunity stands with you all mourning this tragedy. Going forward we all need to remember to take care of one another at any event on earth and continue to protect and watch out for each other. I won't go into the horrid happenings. I will just say that every dance music fan on the earth, would sign this book!

May the 20 people that never made it back rest in peace and may the 510 still injured (if that is the number) make a speedy recovery!

Die Loveparade ist teil meiner Jugend und hat immer fuer Ausgelassenheit und Freude an der Musik gestanden. Ich bin geschockt, zu hoeren, was dieses Jahr passiert ist und moechte Sie wissen lassen, dass ich in gedanken bei den Familien, Angehoerigen und Freunden dieses schrecklichen Ungluecks bin und Ihre Trauer teile. Solch eine schreckliche Tragoedie haette nie geschehen duerfen und die Verantwortlichen sollten zur rechenschaft gezogen werden.

I passed that fatal tunnel in the very beginning 5 hours earlier and realize there is smth wrong with the planning of the event. When I heard what has happend after the end of the Parade I was shocked. I still can't believe it.

My heart has been ripped out since hearing the news. my deepest condolences go out to all whose loved ones perished during the festival. I believe those who have transited this world would not want the LOVE PARADE to end. It would be more appropriate to honor them and their names from here on out and keep the LOVE going! The organisers must ensure the safety of the revellers and make this top priority! We are living in the last days of 'limited' consciousness. If an event of this magnitude is to 'go off' successfully please for God's sake, no cutting corners! or else everyone pays the price! In this case the lives of 20 people! This is totally avoidable! Forgive me for ranting within this forum.

Condolences to the 20 deaths. Normally is the loveparade a big party, this one was horrible. I was with my girlfriend and 4 friends in the middle of the chaos. I and my girlfriend could make it to come behind the green policebus, and came so throught the mass of people. 2 friends could make it also when there was a little bit room. And the other two stand by the fence in front of the little building, and could make it after the tragedy to get out of that place, when the police sent them back. Still we can't sort it out, why we made it to the policebus and to came out of the chaos. To all people how where at that horrible place, we will never forget this tragedy and never forget the earlier happy loveparades in Berlin, Essen and Dortmund. With respect to the 20 deaths and the 510 hurted people and the loveones and all the people who watched it on tv. Keep your head up.

I saw this signboard on TV resting on the floor which was saying: "Dance or Die"...how could it be closer to reality????? Everyone was going there to dance...and a few of them ended up dying....I have no words to express how I feel for all these people...my heart bleeds for them and for their family....
We have a saying in France which says: "on n'arrête pas un peuple qui dance" meaning nobody can stop people from dancing (more or less)...wish it was true...

They wishes to happy togetherness was overshadowed by the tragic accident on 24th July 2010, killed 20 people and injured over 340, some are seriously, in the dance party Love Parade 2010, being held this year in the city of Duisburg, western Germany.

It’s scary. My heart goes out to all those who lost their lives and many that were injured. I’m still very much in shock over the Love Parade 2010 tragedy.

My thoughts go out to all the families and friends of the victims. I travelled from Scotland to go to my first ever love parade in Duisburg and im still in a state of shock. Everyone was so friendly and just wanted to enjoy themselves. This should never have happened and the love parade should move back to Berlin and still continue. Once again to all the relatives of the victims to all the injured my thoughts are with you.

I hope we dont have to count more. Seeing how
many people on pictures they where packed in that
small tunnel and around even a blind could see
trouble ahead.I dont want to express only my
sorrow but also point my fingers to the ones
who are ! responsible for the darkest day in history for Duisburg. Statements of deepest
sympathies will not reviva the 20 people from
their death, so I hope this will have a long tail
making sure this tragedy will not repaet again
