Holi Festival
This picture is cute- Yes but what followed wasn't. We celebrate Holi in India - I put some color on my sister's face because she is so white :) I guess she doesn't understand the custom and she started crying, all day :( This festival is about the amazing colors of India.
We play with water and dark colours, everything gets permanently stained and white exists only in memory.
Holi is a 2 day festival best spent in Northern India. It occurs in late February or early March. It goes by the Hindu calender an it falls on the Phalgun Purnima (or Pooranmashi, Full Moon). Holi celebrations are followed by the burning of Holika and the Dhulendi on the following days.
