GO BIG OR GO HOME EXTREME FILM FESTIVAL, is Europe's first multi-discipline extreme sports film festival series aims to include seldom-screened, often overlooked feature films and documentaries stemming from the world of outdoor adventure sports.
The new summer line-up runs the gamut from inspiring documentaries to darker films that express life changing struggles, and everything in between. Although “GO BIG OR GO HOME FILM FESTIVAL” is only an emerging festival on the World market, it is the only multi-discipline film festival in Europe.
The festival’s vision is to provide an exceptional opportunity for filmmakers across the world to network with other filmmakers, industry professionals, athletes and fans. However the festival’s primary objective is to providing a recognisable platform for filmmakers to showcase their achievements to a diverse audience.
The line-up will includes a mix of Irish and International film selections covering may different disciplines of adventure sports ranging from Surfing, Kayaking, Skating, Biking to name only a few. People can expect too see several of the world top films screened at this years festival. Including several Irish and European premiers. Films like “Nathan Apffel’s” multi-award winning surf film “Lost Prophets - Search for the Collective” and the epic production “The Windsurfing Movie II” from film-makers “Johnny DeCesare & Jace Panebianco” this gives a glimpse into the future of windsurfing through the eyes of Red Bull athlete Levi Siver.
Sports fans will be able to catch this years touring festival at several of Irelands top outdoor and sporting occasions for example “The Adventure Weekend” in the RDS running from May 20th–22nd www.theadventureweekend.ie and the “Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival” in Bundoran running from 24th–26th June www.seasessions.com.
