Glastonbury Festival

Glasto - When & Where Glastonbury Festival is usually the first weekend after the summer solstice. The festival takes place in South West England at Worthy Farm (900 acres) between Pilton and Pylle, six miles east of the town of Glastonbury. Featuring over 700 acts played at Glasto on over 80 stages. Glastonbury 2010 takes place on June 26th until June 28th 2010.

The Irish supergroup have confirmed as of 23rd November 2009 that thy will play the Pyramid stage in June.

Glastonbury-Music-Festival

Local farmer Michael Eavis was inspired to create the Glastonbury-Music-Festival after a breathtaking preformance by Led Zepplin near Bath. Glastonbury was then referred to as the Pilton Festival.

In 2007 the capacity expanded to 177,000 people. This music festival is associated with Glastonbury Tor in the mystical "Vale of Avalon". The area has a number of mythological and spiritual traditions.
