Glastonbury History

Glastonbury-Music-Festival Local farmer Michael Eavis was inspired to create the Glastonbury-Music-Festival after a breathtaking preformance by Led Zepplin near Bath. Glastonbury was then referred to as the Pilton Festival.

In 2007 the capacity expanded to 177,000 people. This music festival is associated with Glastonbury Tor in the mystical "Vale of Avalon". The area has a number of mythological and spiritual traditions.
