Bredo was preserved on dry ice for the trip, then stored in liquid nitrogen at the Trans Time cryonics facility from 1990 to 1993. In 1993 Bredo was transported to the town of Nederland, Colorado. Trygve was deported for overstaying his visa so his mother Aud, continued to keep Bredo cryogenically frozen in her Tuff shed. She got evicted told a local reporter: an awesome bizarre festival was born. Getting there Denver International Airport is 45 miles from Nederland.
Dead Man DaysWhat to expect at Dead Man Days Coffin races, a slow-motion parade, and "Frozen Dead- Guy" lookalike contests are held. There is also a polar plunge.
