They happen in the mountains and vineyards of the largest wine route in the world - Stellenbosch/Paarl/Franschoek/Cape Town.

Held on wine farms, suurrounded by mountains, there is generally a dam, a river or a massive pool just above the dancefloor. They play psy-trance and there is always a world class set up and many international dj's including headroom, protoculture, orca, neelix, broken toy, commercial hippies, skazi, perfect stranger etc etc. There is always a massive crowd for the Sunday morning/afternoon session, weather is always perfect and the party lasts for 3 days.

It is no wonder that Cape Town is considered one of the 3 day weekend trance party capitals of the world! There is a weekend party every weekend for the whole of summer (there is 8 months of summer, split in half by 4 months of autumn/winter).

For Europeans attending these festivals it is extremely cheap due to the exchange rate; a ticket for one of these festivals generally is not more than US$60. People are all very like minded and friendly, some of the best experiences of my life have been at these parties and you always meet people from all over the world!

Beautiful surroundings, amazing music, brilliant and enthusiastic crowd, safe and so so much fun! If you enjoy electronic music festivals make sure you come to the Cape trance parties!
