What happens ? A stampede is a mix of traditional cowboy games like the rodeo (staying on a mad horse), chuckwagon races (riding those wagons really fast) and a grandstand games (a mix of international entertainment). There is also lots of music events: traditional western music on the Nashville North stage, the coca cola stage usually gets the best pop acts, the Saddledome stage gets the best rock and country acts.

Having been to the stampede I can say the best fun are the chuckwagon races and rodeos. They are a must. The buzz in Calgary around the Stampede it is amazing and is the best time to visit this beautiful city. Calgaries Stampede where hides are raw & hearts untamed.
