Burning Man Festival 2010 This liberal festival takes place he last week of August/week before Labor Day. Blackrock City Nevada at Playa of the Black Rock desert 90 miles North of Reno. Location changes every year.

In 2010 Burnin' Man begins August 30th and finishes September 6th. The theme for 2010 is Metropolis, tickets for the desert festival go on sale 13th January 2010. Event tickets can be purchased online.

Why The tomato fight is the peak of the 11-day festival honouring the town's patron saints - Luis Bertran & Mare de Déu dels Desemparats. The tomato fight has taken place in Buñol since 1944. It’s origins are clouded with legends.

Why burn? It began on a beach in San Francisco in 1986 with a crew of 80 burners.

Desert Festival

This desert festival is organised chaos. While you are told you can do as you please you must respect the health, safety, and experience of the community at large. It’s up to each burner to decide what their role will be in the community.

Bring a tent, a bicycle- the low rider is king, bike lock, food water, booze, pharmacueticals, camera.

The Gay Scene Homosexual activity is pretty high at Burning Man. Don’t look so shocked. People are open to express themselves, experiment and walk about naked.

Art Founder Larry Harvey gives a new theme every year to bond the participants. Participants are asked to give life to the theme with large pieces of art and theme camps.
