Air Guitar Championships When & Where The Air Guitar Championships usually takes place in the third week of August in Oulu, Finland.

It's hard to think of watching someone air guitar for an hour but somehow those mad Finns have turned Air guitar into a three day festival. Some countries (Australia, Japan) go through rigourous domestic competitions to represent their countries.

There's a possibility to qualify for the Oulu Air Guitar World Championships in the "qualifying round" in Oulu. Don't think you're up to it ? there's a high altitude air guitar training camp on the Wednesday before the air guitar world championships kicks off.
