The Africa and World Music Festival invites to the most colourful intercontinental event of Switzerland. Top-class artists from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean guide through the three concert days of the festival. Whether Reggae, Latin Sounds, African rhythms or accoustic sounds, there is certainly something for any music lover.
The visitors plunge into an exuberant market scenery by strolling through the colourful Africa market, the diverse World Bazaar and the informative FairFair stands. The festival offers a diverse culinary program, unique street artists and surprising encounters.
Headliner of the 23rd Afro-Pfingsten Festival is Jimmy Cliff who will bring his timeless music straight from the Caribbean to Winterthur. Apart from him, other world music stars such as Stephen Marley, Mory Kante and new discovery Fuego are taking the stage. The Afro-Pfingsten Festival is glad to announce that the newly formed group Ruzzo and Roldan, originally part of the Orishas, will launch their world premiere in Winterthur.
