When & Where The Wickerman Festival is originally Scottish Pagan Festival which takes place in East Kirkcarswell, near Dundrennan - Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. Confirmed headliners for 2009 are The Zutons, The Human League, Zion Train, Dreadzone, Billy Bragg & The Dangleberries.

History of Wickerman in ScotlandHistory This Scottish festival began in 2002 as an alternative music event with strong roots to the local Dumfries & Galloway area; represented from the Hammer Horror Classic Film Wickerman (1973). This part Pagan festival keeps traditional values and remains true by burning a huge 30ft effigy as a closing ceremony to the festival. There’s also lots of street performers, markets as well as a children’s area, workshops, beer tent, crafts & a cinema.
