When & Where The Rototom Sunsplash Festival has moved to Spain. This Raggae festival will take place in Benicassim in Valencia in Spain- and what better location. The dates for Rototom 2011 are August 18-27th August.

There's 5 stages - Main Stage, Dancehall, Dub Station, Lion Stage & Free Yard, with tons of acts like Alpha Blondoe, Aswad, Marcia Griffiths, The Mighty Diamonds, Abbyssinians, Wayne Wonder, Tony Rebel, Bushman, Africa Unite, Elijah, Glenn Washington & many more.

European Reggae Festival

What to expect This is Europes biggest reggae festival, previous acts include: Ziggy Marley, Beenie Man, Maxi Priest, Toure Kunda, Jah Mason, Famara, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Fantan Mojah, Isreal Vibration. There's lots of dance hall acts as well as ska and expect lots of Cajun food and Caribbean, particularly Jamaican stalls too.

Rototom Reggae Festival History

This Reggae festival imitates the traditional Jamaican Reggae Sunsplash and since 1994 calls from various European countries thousands of reggae fans and followers - thanks to concerts of international musicians many from Jamaican. This is Europe's biggest Reggae Music festival and this is the first time it will take place in Spain. Until this year it has always taken place in Osoppo Udine in Italy. However there were lots of complaints that the festival brought too much marijuana to the location and a decision was taken to move the festival to Spain.
