Rose of Tralee Festival

When & Where The Rose Of Tralee is an Irish festival which usually takes place in the town of Tralee Co. Kerry in Ireland. It takes usually place from the second last Friday in August to the following Wednesday.

History of Tralees Rose Festival

History

The title lends itself to the love song The Rose o' Tralee, by William Mulchinock a 19th century wealthy merchant who was in love with his maid Mary O'Connor. The events of today owe themselves to the Tralee Carnival Queen Festival which was eventually cancelled due to post WW2 emigration.
