Mud Festival Germany

When and Where The Mud Festival Germany usually takes place in late August. This messy German festival takes place in Brunsbüttel which is located in Dithmarschen, in Schleswig-Holstein. The part of northern Germany that lies on the mouth of the Elbe river.

What to expect Organised chaos. These are the German mud olympics; "Wattolümpiade Brunsbüttel" The most popular event is mud football. There's also mud skiing and bicycle races. Prizes are provided for sporting performances, prizes are awarded in such bizarre categories as Funniest Team Name, Best Fans, and Funniest Team.

Yep you heard right it's a muddy German Woodstock spinoff- there is only so much fun and games one can have in the mud before the music starts and with so much mud around there's a great festival vibe about.
