When & Where The Matchmaking festival usually takes place in the town of Lisdoonvarna (Lisdoon) in Co. Clare Ireland. It takes place from the last Friday in August to the first Sunday in October.

What to Expect Thousands of merry Irishmen thinking they are the only ones that will be there. Joking ! there's lots of ceilis (Irish traditional music nights), a speed-dating weekend, lots of matchmaking evenings conducted by Basadoiris (Irish traditional matchmakers) and competitions like Queen of the Burren and Mr. Lisdoonvarna.
