Jerez Horse Fair in Spain

When & Where The Jerez Horse Fair Spanish Fiesta usually takes place 2/3 weeks after Easter Sunday/Semana Santa in Parque Gonzalez Hontoria in the town of Jerez de la Frontera in Cadiz province Andalucia in Spain. This Horse Fair and it’s celebrations last for 1 week and typically is in May. In 2011 the Fair in Jerez is May 8th-15th.

What to expect This Spanish festival attracts millions of people and events like horse competitions from fancy dress and polo, flamenco shows, workshops and competitions. There’s also bullfights, typical to Andalucia. There’s also sherry tasting tents to taste and trips available. The locals all dress in traditional Spanish clothes and there’s a majestic feeling and endless party all week long as well as casetas.

Seville Feria De Abril Is also a very good traditional Spanish Horse Fair held around the same time.
