Henley Todd Regatta
When & Where The Henley Todd Regatta is an Australian festival which takes place on the last Saturday in August or the first Saturday in September in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. The next Todd Regatta takes place Saturday 20th August 2011.
What to Expect The river Todd has a sandy dries up to leave a sandy bed which all the locals take to in homemade vessels which are powered by the same Bedrock technology that Fred Flintstone employs. There’s yachts, kayaks, dinghys, vikings and the odd joker in a tyre. There’s also a tug o war, iron man and woman competitions. Expect a late night.
