Nowhere Festival Spain

Sick of fancy portaloos at festivals and being pampered by hot dog vendors ?

check out Nowhere festival in Spain for a different experience.

You can volunteer and build shelters, toilets or perhaps work as a 'greeter' providing arrivals with orientation. Art is always being created so maybe you can just give a hand there.

Djs perform in the middle of Nowhere and in the Barrios- fancy doing a set? then get in touch with the organisers.

When & Where The Going Nowhere Festival usually takes place during the first 2 weeks of July from a Wednesday to a Sunday (the number of days may increase with demand) in the Aragon region of Spain.

The Going Nowhere dates for 2011 are 5th-10th July.

The nearest small towns are Castejon de Monegros (12km) and Sariñena (19km), and from both directions the last 10km is on gravel roads.

What to Expect This Spanish Fiesta is built on similar principles to Burning Man.

Going Nowhere Fiesta in Spain

A lot of emphasis is given to radical self-expression and the principles are as follows:

* Self-expression: The freedom to be in a creative and liberating space

* Radical self-reliance: You are responsible for yourself

* No commerce: Bring all you need because you can’t buy it there

* Leave no trace: Create something from nothing, and leave nothing behind

* Participation: Get involved – this is not an event for spectators
