History Originally located closer to Mt. Fuji the inaugural festival was marred with disaster as people nearly died from hypothermia. The concert is now situated far away in a much lower lying land area and has enjoyed gorgeous sunshine every year since that nasty weekend in 1997. Previous performers include: The Chemical Brothers - Ian Brown - Pet Shop Boys - The Prodigy - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Sonic Youth - The Killers, Dizzie Rascal, PJ Harvey, Primus and The White Stripes to name but a few.
