When & Where The Fleadh Cheoil Ireland is a festival which usually takes place on the third week in August (for one week) and the location of this Irish festival changes every year.

In 2011 the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann will take place in Cavan from the 19th-21st August.

History of the Fleadh Ceol in Ireland

This is Irelands favourite festival which is evident in the amount of Irish people attend the festival (when compared with St Patricks Day) The Irish traditions are hundreds of years old however the competition in it’s current format began in 1951.
