Feile an Doilin

When & Where The Feile an Doilin takes place over 2 weekends, usually on the first weekend in August (Ireland's Bank Holiday Weekend) & sometime in September in the town of Dóilín in Galway; West of Ireland.

What to expect There's a Regatta of Hooker boats, lots of traditional Irish music on the streets and in the bars as well as the Hooker boat races in the August weekend. The September is a more local affair with community games and the activities are mostly for children.

History Féile an Dóilín was established in An Cheathrú Rua, Co. Galway, Ireland, in 1977, as a key part of the then Galway Hooker revival. It is the oldest Galway Hooker festival and regatta in the country.
