When & Where The Essence-Festival-New-Orleans is an African-American music festival usually occurs on the fourth of July weekend in New Orleans, Louisianna in America.
What to expect A weekend of African -American, soul, motown, RnB, Hip Hop music mixed with good ol' fashioned New Orleans Jazz. This festival draws crowds of 200,000 people. There's also lots of seminars and markets.
