When & Where The Dunmore-East-Bluegrass-Festival usually takes place on the last Thursday - Monday in August in the town of Dunmore East, County Waterford.
The next Bluegrass festival in Dunmore East is 25-28th August, 2011.
The festival has been organised every year since 1995 by Mick Daly, a promoter with an eclectic vision; mixing old-time country, bluegrass and futuristic newgrass acts. According to Mick “The festival has evolved organically in the last 15 years to become one of the most anticipated Bluegrass festivals in Europe.”
“With acts catering for the tastes of hardened roots music fans right through to those who just enjoy a great old style, toe – tappin’ tune, Dunmore East has something for everybody this year and it’s all free.”

The pubs might be open a few hours later and there’s a great mix of traceoil (traditional Irish Music) and bluegrass anthems blaring through every snug and out of every shebeen. People travel from all over the world to listen and play at this Bluegrass festival.
