Dubai Shopping Festival When & Where Dubai Shopping Festival usually is in January/February for one month of shopping ! The shopping festival begins January 15th and ends February 15th 2009, in Dubai.

What to expect Amazing reductions on jewellery, fashionwear, electrical goods and carpets. There are also lots of Dubai cultural events throughout the shopping month. Such as theatre and street performances, fashion shows, nightly fireworks and laser shows, prize draws for Rolls Royces and film festivals too.

Where to stay There is very limited amount of cheap accommodation available but there's lots of amazing hotels in Dubai. Getting there Most international airports fly daily to Dubai.

Shopping in Dubai

Shopping in Dubai For atmospheric shopping go to the souks, located on either side of Dubai Creek. The Gold Souk at Sikkat al-Khali St is Dubai's most famous bazaar with narrow streets lined with shop windows sparkling with bracelets, necklaces and earrings in 18-, 21-, and 22-carat gold, sold according to weight.

For top brand-name items in fashion and electronic products go to the modern shopping malls around Beniyas Al-Rigga and Al-Hiyafa Road. Also excellent for electronic goods is Al Fahidi Street in Bur Dubai. Cosmos Lane has many stores selling textiles, from cool cottons to exotic brocades.
