What to Expect The week running up to the carnival has lots of educational programmes and workshops about Afro-Carribbean & Brasilian culture. The day itself has a massive parade which starts at Royal Avenue and moves along to Donegall Place. It circles around City Hall then heads back to the High Street, finishing on Custom House Square. The Belfast parade involves locals and international performers from all over the world who have worked tirelessly over an 8 month period to perfect their art & acts. History of the Belfasts Carnaval This Irish festival has been running since 1995 and gets bigger each year.
