Jidai Matsuri - When & Where The Ages Festival Japan AKA Jidai Matsuri is an Asian festival which takes place Kyoto Gosho in Kyoto Japan around the third week in October. What to Expect This festival has a parade in which people dress in traditional clothes dating back to the 7thC AD. Shrines of all the emperors of Japan are paraded around from the Imperial Palace-Kyoto Gosho through Kyoto. It takes hours for the parade to pass a few kilometres but this serves as an excellent lesson in Japans history.
